Fim de dia sob uma luz dourada intensa, a vista magnífica do rio Tejo do largo das Necessidades, e uma densa inspiração nos anos 70. Estas fotos foram tiradas uns dias antes do meu novo corte de cabelo, que em breve vou mostrar!

Ending the day on one of my favorite spots in Lisbon, with a great view over the bridge and the river, at Largo das Necessidades, in a 70's mood. These photos were taken a few days before my new hair cut - can't wait to show you!

As promoções já começaram há algum tempo, mas hoje é oficialmente o primeiro dia de saldos. Como o espírito está inteiramente direccionado para o Verão, aqui vão algumas opções de peças-investimento a preço de saldos. Sempre bom. :)

Tennis inspired dress

As t-shirts polo foram uma presença marcante da adolescência da minha geração, principalmente com riscas ou com tons pastel, e o eterno branco, que se usavam abaixo da linha do umbigo. As combinações azul-branco-vermelho faziam as delícias dos rapazes, mas também das raparigas.
Estava secretamente à espera que voltassem, mais polidas, menos pastel WASP, mas mais anos 70, em malha (já viram esta?), ou então sob a forma de vestidos com linha em "A", a lembrar os vestidos de ténis. Quando vi este vestido max and co a 70% na pop-up-store de setembro de 2013 (?! já tem assim tanto tempo?), sorri para dentro. E cá está ele, também em Bali, mais precisamente no The Legian em Seminyak, vestido de verão, com cunhas de rafia.

Polo shirts were of the hallmarks of my teen and pre-teens years, first in pastel shades, the eternal white, then with stripes, specially in red, blue and white. Boys and girls had them, but we wore ours just beneath the umbilical line (ok, back then it looked cool). I was secretly waiting for them comeback, so, last year I was happy to see them in a more polished (have you seen this one?) , but still a bit WASP, resembling  tennis oufits. 
As soon as I saw this max and co dress with 70% discount (?! last september), I knew I had to take it home with me. And here it is, in Bali, to be more precise at The Legian in Seminyak, with rafia sandals, dressed in Summer.

Wide and wider

Pouca coisa apela mais ao meu sentido estético gutural do que uma peça leve, que não prende nem circunscreve o corpo. Por isso, quando vi estas calças largas, com pinças (não confundir com as palazzo, que abrem na porção inferior da perna) soube que não valia a pena contrariar o instinto. E para baralhar ainda mais a noção anatómica de dimensão, conjuguei com uma das minhas compras favoritas no stock-off que mencionei aqui e com top que é tão cópia que a consciência permitiu-me apostar novamente no preto e não no crú. 

My gutural sense leans towards a flowy fabric, that surfaces the body without showing it. As soon as I saw these wide pants (different from the palazzo pants, that opens wide in the knees), I knew I could help but buying them. Statement was made by throwing an unexpected wide cropped jacket, mixing the notions of body anatomy. The top is such a copycat that my conscious didn't allow to go for the off-white version.

Old meets new

Começa assim: duas peças velhas e duas novas para equilibrar. Atenção que não se trata de uma prevaricação, mantendo a minha promessa de "no-shopping" tal e qual. 

Por partes: as peças mais antigas- o meu casaco vermelho de gola chaminé  com corte em trapézio e os meus sapatos com tira "T" - estavam mesmo a pedir dois amiguinhos novos para se juntar à festa. O vestido preto de gola branca, que sobressaiu tanto nos desfiles de Outono-Inverno 2013 (ai Valentino, Valentino), tal como a mala quadrada azul marinho com aba estavam debaixo de olho há algum tempo e que o Pai Natal colocou na árvore :)

Agora, a confissão: para o resto do dia troquei os saltos altos pelos loafers ;)

So that's how it goes: two old pieces, two new (pre-purchase-fasting), just to make the balance. Actually, I think that despite the years that separate them, they really work together. 

The red coat, one of my dearest coats and the T-strap shoes are the oldies. The black dress and the blue bag are their new friends. I had my eyes on them for quite some time, so it was a lovely surprise that Santa left at the Christmas tree :)

Now, the confession: for the rest of the day I change the heels for my beloved loafers, also olides, but so much more comfy!
