Há qualquer coisa de cativante nas linhas de Dries Van Noten, talvez seja o ar absolutamente cool da mistura de materiais, os tons musgo e terra quebrados por padrões inesperados. Esta colecção, inspirada por Ophelia de John Millais e "Sonho de uma noite de Verão", é um sonho místico para a Primavera Verão de 2015. A sonhar, muito. :)

So captivating and so cool Dries Van Noten for Sprin Summer 2015, inspired by Ophelia (John Millais) and "A midsummer night dream", exhales mystic hues, with earthy-tones and sudden silky vivid colors. Dreaming, a lot. :)

Snake patterned shoes

Se a dúvida for se há lugar para padrão animal este ano, então a escolha certa será o padrão serpente. E a julgar por um dos mais aclamados desfiles do Outono Inverno 2014, da casa Gucci, ainda vamos ter mais serpente ao longo do ano!

If you're thinking about a pattern for your next shoe, you should go "snake". Apparently it's here to stay through out 2014, just check some of the shoes from Gucci AW14.

Rubber sole brogues

Desde que vi as brogues/sapatos oxford no desfile Outono-Inverno 2013 de Dries Van Noten que fiquei a sonhar com umas assim para mim. Com um ar durão, masculino, mas combinadas com calças de corte ou textura feminina, para equilibrar. A grande vantagem deste tipo de sapatos é que tem borracha na sola, o que as torna imensamente confortáveis, leves e tira um pouco da rigidez e austeridade que o sapato naturalmente transporta. Claro que tive de esperar pacientemente por uma alternativa bem mais simpática para o orçamento. E lá começaram, timidamente, a aparecer! As minhas favoritas até agora são as da Massimo Dutti, em castanho, mas as pretas da Zilian deixaram-me bem alerta.. mais, as da Base London estão em saldos no site da Asos. E este jejum de compras que nunca mais passa. Um mês já está, só faltam mais dois... uff!!

Ever since I saw these over-the-top brogues on the 2013 AW Dries Van Noten fashion show, I wanted a pair for my very self. Tough looking, to wear with a feminine details (skirt, pattern, etc, etc). The rubber sole makes them sooo comfortable and just a bit less classic, so, my prerogative going on and on all over. I had to wait for a more budget option to appear, and, after almost losing my patience, here they are, popping like mushrooms. My fav so far are the ones from Massimo Dutti, but those from Zilian also got me wondering. This shopping-fast has to end. One month gone, only 2 mre (?!) to go.

Feminine wardrobe staples

Nestes dias chuvosos e tristes, arrisco. Sai a menina à rua, vestida de mulher, com as peças que habitam o imaginário feminino: uma saia midi rodada, a camisa de popelina "à medida", o leço de seda e os stilettos. Por cima de tudo isto, o casaco ultra-comprido.

A saia, escondida no saquinho do post anterior, de um tom cor-de-areia que é um bilhete de entrada para as colecções de Armani Privé e Hermès, é tão versátil que já imaginei mais 374 visuais. Pensada e concebida pela habilidosa Micha, é uma aposta forte e segura, tão retro e tão agora. Apaixonei-me por este tom, mas fiquei a sonhar com os restantes tons: verde garrafa, mostarda e preto. Difícil é escolher! ;)

Days like this, rainy and sad, ask for a sos call to the ultimate feminine wardrobe staples. The girl goes out dressed like a woman: midi flared skirt, tailored poplin shirt, silk scarf and stilettos. Plus, the very long coat. 

This skirt, hiding in that cute bag from the previous post, has a sandy tone that sings Armani Privé and Hermès softly in my ear, and it is so versatile that I can only imagine 374 more looks with it. Designed and made by the trendy Micha, this is a safe and smart choice, so retro and yet so now. I fell in love with this color, but there are also other amazing colors: olive-green, mustard and black. Tough choice! ;)

Why wait?

Estes looks são Dries Van Noten  Primavera-Verão de 2014, e têm a particularidade de ser totalmente "reais", seja, eu não hesitava nem um instantinho em sair assim à rua. Aliás, quem dera sair assim à rua agora mesmo. Com um sobretudo, é claro. Nas últimas semanas de moda tirei imagens de visuais e que eu alegremente usava "tal e qual". Podem não ser os mais representativos da colecção ou os mais aclamados pela crítica, mas que, a meu ver, fazem sentido para o nosso dia-a-dia ordinário. E neste caso, quanto mais olho mais gosto. É isto mesmo que quero: Blazer estilo smoking (tenho de vos mostrar o meu!!), camisas com padrão, calças corte direito com cintura mais subida, padrões que alinham sem combinar, casacos mais curtos, mangas mais largas. Quero tudo, sem querer esperar pela Primavera. 

These Dries Van Noten Spring-Summer 14 looks are reality meets real, meaning, I would (happily) take those on a downtown ride. Right now. Maybe adding a coat. For the next season I did the exercise to save looks that could be wearable on the real world (slash without a nipple-accident). Probably these looks aren't either the most representative nor the most cheered by the critics, but, in my very own ordinary fashion sense, work from head-to-toe. In this particular case, the more I look into these looks, the more I love them. I want my straight-legged pants, mixed soft patterns, cropped jackets, wider sleeves. I want it all, but please, don't keep here until Spring.

Right now

Hoje de repente senti um arrepio que me fez lembrar que o Outono chegou, mesmo. A temperatura desceu, o que faria com que amanhã fosse o dia perfeito para saltar para uma camisa de bom corte, uma camisola de caxemira, ténis e jeans e um casaco traçado. Os ténis, nem vamos falar dos ténis. Já todos sabem da minha frustração. :)

Today I felt a chill that reminded me that Autumn is here to stay. The perfect conditions for this outfit are there. Tomorrow would be the perfect day for a perfectly-taylored shirt, a cashemere jumper, sneakers, jeans and a masculine coat. The sneakers. I'm not even going to repeat myself on that matter. I've shared my frustration again and again. :)

Sempre gostei de lenços. Lembro-me do primeiríssimo lenço que comprei, na Massimo Dutti, quadrado, em tons de azul, para usar bem justinho ao pescoço, tipo gargantilha, como agora mostra ténues sinais de regresso (Céline em 2012 reanimou o lenço justo). Achava o máximo. Comecei assim a minha "colecção" de lenços, écharpes, xailes, cachecóis, snoods. Este é o mais recente membro da família. Grande obrigada à Mãe. 

I was always passionate about scarves. I remeber the very first one that I bought, squared and in blue tones at Massimo Dutti. Those to be used really tight in the neck (as seen in Céline AW 2012). I thought that was it, top of the rock, style at its peak. That's how I started my collection of scarves. This is the newest on the family. Big thanks to Mom.

Trend: Skirt/dress over trousers

Clara tendência: a saia/vestido sobre calças. Fiquei atenta a esta tendência há tempos (ver aqui) e o facto é que pegou. Captou a atenção nas colecções Primavera-Verão (Etro e Alberta Ferretti), brilhou na colecção de alta costura de Giambattista Valli e eis que em vários desfiles de Outono-Inverno, lá estão ela! Os meus favoritos: BCBG Max Azria e Dries Van Noten. Quem está disposto a testar? Eu já testei em modo monocromátrico! Para mostrar em breve :) 

A clear trend: Skirt/dress over trousers. I start following this shy-trend a while back (see here) and the truth is that you can find here in so many different collections! For SS 2013, Etro and Alberta Ferretti caught my attention with the trend, then Giambattista Valli showed us their Couture approach (how great is that?!) and well, the rest is history: Fall 2013 show it several times so far that the mix is here to stay, my favorites by BCBG Max Azria and Dries Van Noten.   Who is willing to try? I did it already in a monochrome outfit, to show you soon :)
