A rentrée já apetece, mas este dias de fim de Verão na praia também são deliciosos: um sol tímido, umas nuvens por vezes bem carregadas, mas muita leitura e conversa numa praia praticamente deserta parece-me a receita ideal para "zerar" o sistema por uns dias. O Outono espera mais um pouco, para já :) 

Rentrée is the word on everybody's lips, and while the fashion street-style is packed with jumpers, knits and booties, here I am enjoying those last Summer days: (almost) deserted beach, reading a lot and charging batteries for a few days. Autumn can wait a bit more. :)

Na praia do Amado, hoje mesmo, a aproveitar o sol de Domingo de um (abençoado) fim-de-semana prolongado. E sim, estou a abusar das riscas propositadamente: na mala, na camisa (já velhinha mas sempre uma favorita) e nas alpergatas.

At Amado's beach, today, soaking in the sun of this (blessed) Sunday of a long weekend. Triple striped, with my oldie but fav oversized shirt, big beach bag and shoes.

O top que foi a paixoneta imediata da nova colecção da Zara foi comigo de férias. Adorei tudo: a renda, a cor, o tecido, o padrão.

The beach series

Depois de uns diazitos de férias na praia que foram para lá de fantásticos, tenho algum "material" com aquele que é o meu "estilo" em versão praia. Não surpreendentemente, o minimalista ganha. Evito usar acessórios (devo ser a única pessoa que acha uma seca tirar 20 pulseiras antes de ir ao mar, ou então ficar com mancha de níquel no punho), uso sempre chapéu (desta vez este foi o meu eleito) e sou uma fã incondicional de comprar roupa para a praia em mega-saldo. Este vestido, da colecção de Inverno (!) não foi excepção. ;)

After a few days on the beyond amazing Porto Santo's beach, I finally have some material of my "beach style". Non surprisingly, minimalism is my choice: I tend  to avoid acessories, even though I really like to see a stacked-bracelet-arm, I don't have the patient to have to remove them before a dive, but the nickel spots are not my cup of tea either. I always wear a hat (this one was my weekend-fav) and have a special satisfaction on buying beach-outfits on sale. This dress was no exception, bought on January (!), from the winter collection :)

First dive in the ocean

Parece mentira, mas é verdade: vivo numa ilha e ainda não tinha mergulhado no mar este ano! De que caverna saí eu, perguntam-me vocês e com toda a razão do mundo! Não há desculpa, é mesmo assim. Aproveitar para levar o meu fato de banho cor de melancia (sim, é exactamente esta a cor, finalmente descobri!) a conhecer as maravilhas que um banho de água salgada faz ao corpo e à mente :)

So finally the first dive in the ocean this year! This is really odd, given the fact that I actually live in an island, actually, a usually sunny one. So, no excuse for me! Finally this weekend I went for a quick yet therapeutic dive with my watermelon (how specific is this color description?!!) bathing suit, that I love! ;)
