Dressing in layers

O frio do Inverno não tem passado despercebido e a estratégia é um clássico: camadas sobre camadas, com um claro domínio das malhas. Este ano, as calças de cintura subida (totalmente banidas do meu actual guarda-roupa), as golas altas brancas (sim, tãaao colar cervical há 4 anos atrás e tão apetecíveis actualmente) e o casaco de malha cinza sem botões são apostas ganhas. Mais: as adidas gazelle. Sim, mais ténis, por favor, que são sempre bem-vindos :)

Winter has been cold on our bones and the recipe is an oldie: dressing with layers. This year, knits on knits - don't forget about the white turtleneck ( a fashion crime 4 years ago) and the buttonless grey coat, two must-haves for this season. Plus, the high-waisted jeans (totally banned from my current wardrobe) and adidas gazelle. More tenis, please, more than welcome :)

Sale scouting: 2015 Pre-fall inspiration

Para quem ainda está a fazer as rondas aos saldos, nas repescagens de stock (é a altura em que um "achado" dá mais gozo!), aqui vai uma ideia: apostar no look- estrela Gucci pre-fall 2015: casacos mais justos, na cor do ano: um tijolo que toca no castanho e no laranja, calças boca-de-sino, malas com ângulos bem evidentes, camisolas de gola alta e os botins minimalistas.  Quanto aos aromas, com notas de terra e de citrinos, como este The knot, de Balenciaga, um aroma clássico, denso e inesquecível.

For those who are scouting those late sale items, here's an idea: to go for that star-look from Gucci 2015 pre-fall: fitted coats - in a color that's so 2015: between orange and brown-, flared jeans, turtle-neck knits, minimal booties and boxy bags. 
If you're thinking about a new scent, think something classical with an edge: an earthy and citric feeling, like The knot, by Balenciaga.

E eu cá estou novamente, em registo cinza e preto (chataaa), a tentar equilibrar os saltos nestas belas pedras de calhau tão típicas da Madeira. Coberta de prendinhas de Natal (obrigada, Mãe!!): um vestido de malha que vai ser usado on-repeat nos próximos meses, o colete de pêlo negro que andava há anos (juro!) a tentar encontrar e os saltos altos pretos, com a fivelinha que torna tudo mais funcional :)

Here I am again, in a black and grey combo (boriiiing) trying to maintain the balance with this high-heels on this stoned floor, so typical from Madeira Island. All geared up with Christmas goodies (Thank you, Mom!): a knited dress that's going to be on repeat mode for the next months, the fur vest that I was looking for some years now (I swear!) and these high-heels with the strap that's a nod to functional :)

Num dia normal, como são tantos outros, com os meus clássicos: calças skinnies, blazer. Tons de preto, cinza e tabaco. Ainda estavámos no ano velho, em tempos fáceis e em clima de festa. 

A regular day, like so many others, in my essentials: skinnies, blazer. Black, grey and tobacco. Still 2014, easy times and a festive mood going on.

Um vestido de malha é um essencial absoluto neste Inverno: prático, confortável e quentinho. Já andava com este vestido debaixo de olho desde o início da colecção, sempre indisponível quer online, quer na única loja onde tive tempo de procurar. Como (quase) tudo na vida, um dia, despreocupadamente, lá estava ele: o último da espécie, abandonado numa prateleira. Lógico que nem hesitei e tenho a certeza que ao longo das próximas semanas será um fiel companheiro para acomodar uma barriguinha que ainda  tem muito para crescer :) 

The knitted dress is one of the essential pieces this Winter: warm, comfortable and easy. I had my eye on this one since the beginning of the season, but only until a month ago I was able to buy it, after nearly giving up on it. Good thing that I could find ir, since it will be a great option for this growing belly :)
